HE is HERE!

Yes it is about time that I update this thingy! We finally had a little BOY! and can I say that I just LOVE him!! After every ultrasound I almost still did not believe that it was a boy, not that girls are bad..we sure love our 3 little princess munchkins, but I really wanted the experience of raising a little boy. Joe and I agonized over names for a while, and the poor little guy didn't get his official name until he was 2 days old, but here it is...Ashton Bear Joseph Strongo. We mostly call him Bear which it fitting for him. The girls love him so much, and can't get enough of him :)
I have learned how to speedily change diapers after being peed on several times. Joe is afraid to do it after he got peed on and instead of covering it up...he froze and just sat there and got peed on, it was hilarious! Well, here he is :)

Washington DC

After our adventure to Disneyland..we decided to take off to Washington DC. We were nervous to take the kids on a 5 hour flight..but we decided to take a redeye..and they slept the whole time :) Felicity included..we just put her in her carseat. Right after we landed and got outside...we felt like we were drowning from the humidity. It was 5:00 AM and HOTT! We got to the hotel and slept for a few hours and then went out for adventure. We stayed in Bethesda and drove into DC. We immediately found the Washington Monument. There was so much to see! We pulled over and looked at it. The temp was well over 100 degrees with HIGH humidity! We could only stand to be out of the car for a few minutes. The district had a lone sprinkler near the monument and we just sat in front of it for a while to keep cool. The ENTIRE rest of the day consisted of us looking for parking and a simple grocery store! Nothing looked normal. We finally found a safeway..we had to go to a basement parking lot..take elevators upstairs..I would have never known this was a grocery store...but we drove past it 20 times without us knowing what it was. We gave up after this and went to the hotel. We googled parking for the next day and found that DC is notorious for NO parking! So, our second day..we parked in one spot and walked to the Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and the White House. Really cool stuff! Jefferson is one of my favorite people of all time! We were definately wiped after all this..We were walking around in 100 degree weather..stopping by all the sprinklers. We slept like babies! This is why in all out pics we have poofy hair and red faces..HOT HUMIDITY! lol! We were able to tour the Capitol the next day..also one of my favorite things we did in DC. BEAUTIFUL in there! The Library Congress was amazing as well. They have Thomas Jefferson's personal book collection in there...he had some really cool stuff in there. The kids got SO bored..so we moved to the Smithsonians. We did the Air and Space Museum first..which is dear to me because My Grandfather is in one of the exhibits from WWII. This was really neat to finally see because I have heard about this exhibit for many years! We also visited the Museum of Natural History as well. Well, we thought about staying longer..but we were tired and really wanted to go home! The flight home was pretty intense..we were delayed on the aircraft for a while. The baby was pretty antsy already. This flight was pretty tough! over 6 hrs in the plane trying to keep her quiet. Shy shy and Aurora were sitting alone..I heard Aurora talking to the lady next to her the WHOLE time..poor lady. I heard "I am really afraid of heights...no Im REALLY afraid of heights" during take off from Aurora. The lady was so nice to her..I was thankful! All in all..it was so fun and I am glad we went.

So..yes...it has been over a year since I have created a post..i thought I would take another stab at trying to blog. We have had a great summer so far...full of camping trips and trips across the country. We fly for free, so we are able to just get up and go if we feel like it. So we decided to finally do this. The kids LOVE airplanes! Cheyenne and Aurora love being in the air..Felicity..not so much! So first we flew from Salt lake City to Long Beach..LOVE that airport!.....Thankfully that flt was only 1.5 hrs..so we survived with the baby. Then we went to Disney for a few days..of course the girls were in princess heaven! The met some princesses and loved going on rides!Shy Shy loved the big rides.. Aurora...not so much. I think she almost had a heart attack on Pirates of the Caribbean. They project Davey Jones onto Smoke...she freaked! One of the favorites was the toy story ride! Ok..those are cool..especially the one in CA adventure. We also saw the World of Color Show...neat and all..but I would not wait several hours cramped like sardines to see it again. All in all..it was so fun and the girls LOVED going. They also enjoyed being with their grandparents who also came. We will have to go again soon...we missed their favorite Princess..Aurora and have not heard the end of it :) It was really awesome to see the smiles on their faces...It was SO much fun!

Happy New Year!

Ok, so Happy New Year! Wow, I cannot believe it is 2009. It is making me feel old as my 10 year high school reunion is this year. Time has definately flied, but all of it has been a great time! I hope the coming years are just as sweet and as memorable.

Christmas was so fun. I have always loved Christmas, but have found over the last few years how special it is when you have kids! the joy of watching their fun and excitement is amazing. It made this Christmas very special to me. They were so excited about Santa and all the presents. We tried to explain to them what the real meaning of Christmas is many times, I am not sure they got that part, but at least we tried. When we ask them why we have Christmas, their simple reply is "Jesus".

On Christmas Eve we went to see the Christmas lights at temple square. My kids LOVE Christmas lights..everytime they see a house decorated they yell "Christmas!!!!!!" as loud as they can. Then we came home and told the Christmas story. Then they got to open one present..can you guess...pajamas. But I have never seen kids so excited about pajamas! They were disney pajamas that came with a robe. Aurora ran around screaming, "my very own jamies, my very own jamies!" I guess she is used to a lot of hand me downs from Cheyenne or something. On Christmas Eve night Aurora slept in our room, (surprise, surprise) and kept mumbling things in her sleep about Santa Claus. It was so cute and funny. Cheyenne could barely sleep because she was so excited. When they woke up, they couldn't get to their Santa stuff fast enough. It was fun to watch them be so excited!

December fun!

Ok, so I have a lot to catch up on if I am going to try and keep this blog up to date...I apologize..I am still fairly new to this whole thing, and I don't know how to make pretty pages yet...so I have ugly pages, but at least they will be up to date..for now! Well, the biggest news for us is we had our ultra sound on Monday, and found out we are having our third little girl! Yes, we were hoping for a boy, but we are SO happy to welcome a baby girl! I had two sisters close in age to me, and had a lot fo fun growing up..so I am happy that my kids will get to have the same experience. Cheyenne and Aurora have SO much fun playing together, I know they will each love to have a second sister. Now we just have to cough up another girl name...doesn't sound hard, but I had a family with eleven kids(who now have their own kids) and Joe had six kids in his..so most names are used up within the fam! Plus Joe and I are having a hard time agreeing on something we like. We have tons of time though!

This is Cheyenne and Aurora's little masterpiece! What a fun family night...they were not even tempted to eat it...all the candy and gingerbread were pretty groce (they were from a premade package), but they are still very proud of their masterpiece and show it to everyone that is around!

Next was Joe's Birthday...he turned 27 on the tenth! Wow, almost thirty.

We just hung out had had a quiet day at home. I attempted to make pesto(Joe's favorite dish) with Joe and it actually turned out..and it was yummy! It looks weird, so I never thought I would like it..I know I am picky!

On Sat the 13th, We had our ward Christmas party. Ward activity days are ALWAYS crazy for us because we are the activity chairs for the ward, and feel like we are running around non-stop. We decided to do a pancake breakfast this year, so I was up at 6:30 a.m. (Thatg is EARLY for me) making pancakes that no one even ate!! However, the turnout was great, and all the kids got to see Santa. I broke away from the kitchen for a bit to take my kids to see Santa..I waited over an hour because there are well over 100 kids in the ward. I was afraid I would wait that long and the kids would be too afraid to see him, however to my happiness and surprise, they LOVED it. Aurora couldn't get to Santa fast enough. They both asked for a my little pony...if only I had kept all of those from my childhood, I think I had like 50 of them! What a change from last year! It was fun!

Halloween!

So, Hallwoeen was awesome, but this year the weather was bitter sweet! It was warm! Like you almost do not need a jacket warm! However, right when I took the kids out..it started raining, and rained almost the whole time. However, I would take rain over the FREEZING temperatures we have had over the last few years. The kids had a lot of fun, they carved their pumpkins right before dinner, and Yes, Joe is the one who carved the puking pumpkin. Cheyenne's pumpkin was the SpOoKy pumpkin and Aurora wanted to do the Happy pumpkin. The kids both wanted to be princesses, surprised? I am not..they LOVE the Disney princesses. Nice because I did not have to go out and buy new costumes! Our neighborhood is fun on Halloween because there are tons of kids in the neighborhood..infact, we went through three huge bowls of candy, and actually ran out. But it is nice having a lively neighborhood!
Also, happiness..the election is over today! Even if my candidate does not win, the political fights will hopefully be over! I am a very political and patriotic person, and so is Joe. Politics can always be a touuchy subject in an election year. Time to look ahead...I am definately looking forward to the Holliday Season! Talk soon!

Well, it has been FOREVER since I have gotten on here...I should have a lot to say, but can't think of much at the moment. Well, my kids are awesome as always! Cheyenne just turned 4! I cannot believe it. It seems like yesterday we brought her home from the hospital. She is adoreable and a lot of fun! She looks just like Joe, big blue eyes!! She is really into playing sports lately and her bike! She got a bike to for her birthday, and wants to be on it all the time. Aurora is funny. she is so different from Cheyenne. She is full of mischeif. She is always causing trouble and trying to get hurt it seems. She is always trying to jump of things or try new gymnastics moves. It is quite nerve wracking. It is funny because she is so full of mischeif, but also so full of love and cuddles! She will tell you she is "sweet and tender".

As for me, I finally graduaed in May from U of U..yes I am a UTE! After going to basically every rival school they have, I finished up there and am in the decision making process of whether to go on and get my masters degree in psychology to get my licensed profesional counselor. Yes..everyone is thinking I am the one needing counseling..I DO! I love the classes I have already taken pertaining to getting my LPC license. A whole entire semester devoted on the benefits of forgiveness! It is like free counseling (well, tuition-cost counseling) That class did wonders for me, as well as many others..What can I say? I am a nerd who loves school! I am 14 weeks pregnant with our third baby...yes THREE! I am a little shocked myself, kids are addicting. We cant wait!

Joe is attending UVU in Business management. He actually likes going to school as well, although he is not a big fan of math. I think anyone can be good at math or anything if they believe they can and want to..(power of positive psychology class..haha). Once he puts his mind to things, he does awesome! He really enjoys his business courses, and he cannot wait to finish. He is doing well otherwise.

Well, I will try to actually post things every so often, I have been horrible..I know! But here is my first step!
